Marcus Maroon Pocket Square

A multipurpose pocket square in burgundy red crosshatch pattern. A sailor of fortune they called him. Marcus Paldanskis was his real name. He was a Lithuanian smuggler that bootlegged contrabands with his small sailing boat around the Baltic Sea countries during the First World War. Often was he caught and his boat searched, but never was there anything to find. Out of frustration Marcus’ boat was eventually sank outside the port of Gdansk by the Polish coast guard.

Decades later his secret stash was eventually found by German scuba divers that found 88 bottles of vintage cognac from the hollowed out keel of his boat. Marcus has been told to have had distinctive squared flags to signal out his customers on shady ports & beaches. The flags wore diamond grid patterns that were an inspiration for the FatCloth Marcus’ design.
