Charles Pink Pocket Square

A classic multipurpose pocket square design in pink and mint green. Charles Duggan was not content on how his mother used to dress him as a child. He was made to wear earthy colored breeches, shirt and a vest like any other boy his age. Charles was one of the kids that liked to play with his sister’s dolls and his mother’s pearls and hated nothing so much as dull clothes. Secretly he yearned to be able to carry himself in public wearing the prettiest gowns he could find from the boutiques of London.

As a teenager Charles was accepted to study in the distinguished Oxford College and finally got away from his mother’s watchful eye. On the first day of school he appeared to the lecture wearing a colorful ball gown and high-heeled shoes. He received spontaneous cheers from his fellow students and a scold from his professor not to wear such clothes in the school again. Charles, the first recorded transvestite to graduate from Oxford with honors obeyed his professor, but carried on decorating himself with a colorful handkerchief throughout his school years. To support this kind of every-day courage FatCloth introduces the pattern Charles. To see how Charles Pink looks like as a single point fold, please visit our How to fold a pocket square -section.
